Highly specialised care

As Sweden's largest hospital, we are a national referral centre for highly specialised care. Patients from across the country are referred to our expert teams for advanced procedures and complex conditions, including epilepsy treatment, intestinal failure, organ transplantation and craniofacial surgery. These treatments often require specialised multidisciplinary expertise and advanced technology available at only a limited number of centres.

We also provide coordinated care for patients with rare and complex health conditions, including uncommon diseases, injuries, disorders and impairments affecting bodily functions. Due to their low prevalence in the population, these conditions also require highly specialised expertise and coordinated care from multidisciplinary teams.
