Rwanda - a future partner?

Recently our Education Manager Erika Nettelbladt joined Swecare's healthcare business delegation to Kigali, Rwanda to explore different collaboration possibilities. Our main take away?


→  A large will to develop bilateral partnerships in e.g. specialist training of healthcare staff.

Next step? It was a very inspiring trip and we are currently looking at different ways for Sahlgrenska University Hospital to collaborate with possible partners that we met in Rwanda.  

The aim? Work together towards a more sustainable healthcare.

Fun fact:
 Professor Emile Bienvenu (on the left), Director General of the Food And Drug Administration in Rwanda, got his PhD at University of Gothenburg.

The delegation, led by Director General of the Dental and Pharmaceutical Benefits Agency, Agneta Karlsson, visited the Ministry of Health, leading teaching hospitals, Rwanda Biomedical Centre and the Food and Drug Administration along with Norrsken House Kigali. Erika also visited the University of Rwanda College of Medicine and Health Sciences and got to see the School of Medicine and School of Dentistry.
