Fellowships and observerships
Are you interested in a clinical fellowship or a clinical observership Sahlgrenska University Hospital? A fellowship is a hands-on, advanced sub-specialty training program for physicians who have completed their residency. An observership is a short-term shadowing experience where a medical professional strictly observes procedures without touching patients.
While the hospital does not post formal observerships or fellowships, departments at Sahlgrenska University Hospital frequently host international visiting doctors for clinical observerships and fellowships. These can last from several weeks up to over a year and are arranged in cooperation with the individual department. Hands-on clinical participation is possible for EU or Swedish-licensed MDs, otherwise visiting doctors are limited to shadowing and research.
