International Aid
Good health is a human right. Increased access to healthcare for those who are poor, vulnerable and disadvantaged enhances their opportunities to change their lives for the better.
Since 2008, Region Västra Götaland in West Sweden has actively promoted international development aid. By supporting our partners with medical equipment, technical and organizational expertise, as well as capacity building, we strive to assist in improving healthcare systems in developing countries. All 18 hospitals, 200 primary health clinics and 180 dental clinics in Region Västra Götaland donate medical equipment, contributing to a sustainable and responsible environmental system locally as well as globally.
