Transplant Surgery

Transplant surgery is the moving of an organ from one body to another or from a donor site on the patient’s own body, for the purpose of replacing the recipient’s damaged or absent organ. 

A dedicated team of certified senior transplant surgeons, organ procurement coordinators and other medical professionals are committed to providing: 

• Transplant surgery for patients with irreversible organ failure.
• Liver resection surgery for patients with liver tumours. 

Please note that organ transplantation can only be offered to Nordic citizens due to Swedish organ donation regulations. For citizens from outside the Nordic countries, patients with a related living donor may be considered. To proceed with an application, we require a referral from the patient’s treating hospital.
