The aim of the kickoff is to bring healthcare, academia and industry together around a shared understanding of VMTA’s mission and future – and to highlight how research, innovation and practice meet in reality.

This is the first in a series of events where we will follow up the development within VMTA, share experiences and strengthen collaborations that drive medical technology innovation in West Sweden.

About the organiser

The West Sweden Medical Technology Alliance (VMTA) is a joint initiative between Sahlgrenska University Hospital, the Sahlgrenska Academy at the University of Gothenburg and Chalmers University of Technology, supported by the Västra Götaland Region.

The arena supports the path from research and ideas to practical application in healthcare, helping patients gain faster access to new medical technology innovations.

Through this collaboration, new ideas, joint projects and future investments in medical technology in West Sweden can be developed.
