Queen Silvia Children's Hospital

Queen Silvia Children's Hospital is Sweden's largest pediatric hospital and a part of Sahlgrenska University Hospital. We provide care and treatment for children and adolescents aged 0 to 18.*

 

We welcome patients from all over Sweden and the Nordic region. Queen Silvia Children's Hospital boasts specialized expertise and the world's most advanced high-tech environments, enabling us to treat the most critically ill children.

 

 

Queen Silvia Children’s Hospital is also a facility for all children in the Gothenburg area, both those who require a little support at the beginning of life and those in need of life-saving interventions.

Queen Silvia Children's Hospital offers National Specialised Medical Care in 25 areas, including heart and lung transplants and eating disorder treatment. We are Sweden’s leading pediatric clinical research center, a Comprehensive Cancer Center and partner of several ERNs.

With it's single-patient rooms with en suites and accomodation for parents by the bedside, the Queen Silvia Children's Hospital's design is rooted in the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, which is Swedish law.
